A Squall

The sky is crying
Leaking
Moist silver translucent tears
That pound, the ground
That awakens the worms
That seek the surface
Curiosity kills more than just cats
As birds flock
To feast
Upon this living vermian spaghetti
Meanwhile
Upon a nearby pond
The drip drop rain
Falls on the deep, dark water
That forms ripples
That scatter willy nilly
Like miniature tsunamis
That brush, and break
Against the bashful reeds
As frogs
Poised upon lily pads
Pick at panicking parasites
Knee deep in the rain
Twisted tongues
nee-deep nee-deep
Is their profane
Soon the rain ceases
The feasting is over
As sunshine glimmers
Through moistened foliage
The pond is now still
As the shadows
Of the trees
Are no longer distorted
Now reflected images
Like Siamese twins
Joined at the hip
 Floating on the breezes
On a now sunny, sultry day
