Twilight
I'm in the twilight of my life
In the dusk before the night
I still have a glow within me
That is there and shining bright
You came along and turned it on
Flipped the switch before I knew
You lit the spot light on the stage
Of this life I'm going through
It's not over 'til it's over
We all have a part to play
Should be the lead in our own lives
Keep the deepest dark away
Recognize the needs of others
Respond to our own desire
The spot light that is on me now
Has lit again my burning fire
Your being there, lit up the light
Painted pictures in my mind
Of golden globes and temples
I had lost and could not find
Between us is but time and space
If we want can overcome
Can progress from where we are
Look at where we started from
If together is not for us
Then we both must move along
I takes two of us to tango
Or we must sing another song
In the dusk before the night
I still have a glow within me
That is there and shining bright
You came along and turned it on
Flipped the switch before I knew
You lit the spot light on the stage
Of this life I'm going through
It's not over 'til it's over
We all have a part to play
Should be the lead in our own lives
Keep the deepest dark away
Recognize the needs of others
Respond to our own desire
The spot light that is on me now
Has lit again my burning fire
Your being there, lit up the light
Painted pictures in my mind
Of golden globes and temples
I had lost and could not find
Between us is but time and space
If we want can overcome
Can progress from where we are
Look at where we started from
If together is not for us
Then we both must move along
I takes two of us to tango
Or we must sing another song
