A black swan
I recently wrote a poem or two
About my encounter with swans
And a brown and white one in particular in Hamburg
So now I am reading a crime novel
A Krimi, set in Hamburg in 1815
Drats! There I read about two fellows
On their small boat trying to go after a black swan
With a fishnet
And failing miserably.
Is there a message in there somewhere?
Shall I end up having nightmares
Involving black swans chasing me?
Can I cast spells as a form of prevention?
Do I need the words of a soothsayer
Or those of a lady who can read tea leaves?

I guess fowl dreams must be around, especially when I wrote an episode about giant ducks chasing me for this year's NaPoWriMo challenge.
