Feathers Plucked
A flightless guardian angel
On the edge of eternity
Immortal yet suicidal
Damning God for gifting me
With this burden before I fall
Off a ledge above a bottomless pit
Eternally descending into a fiery Hell
No feathers left to burn in the flames
All ripped out by my blood stained hands
How could I protect her innocence from sin
That arose within my own lascivious skin?
So delicate, her soft tempting flesh
A flower with it's petals dripping and fresh
Until I plucked them like my plumage down
Her nectar flowed but I did not drown
Now I exist forever spurned
By Death and life, my fate confirmed
On the edge of eternity
Immortal yet suicidal
Damning God for gifting me
With this burden before I fall
Off a ledge above a bottomless pit
Eternally descending into a fiery Hell
No feathers left to burn in the flames
All ripped out by my blood stained hands
How could I protect her innocence from sin
That arose within my own lascivious skin?
So delicate, her soft tempting flesh
A flower with it's petals dripping and fresh
Until I plucked them like my plumage down
Her nectar flowed but I did not drown
Now I exist forever spurned
By Death and life, my fate confirmed
