THE CLARION CALL

Our sire's sight, our mama's care
Our distinct cults and lives we own
Distinct tongues and Distances fair
Left we did, to the land unknown
In cage we stayed in the prison zone

Who will not miss the clarion call!
Earlier we woke than the land to serve
"Under the sun or in the rain" I recall
We stood and sang with skill and verve
The land we have, we vowed  to preserve

Fun it was to a thousand and one
Man O War drill and lecture fright
Early waking for just a dry run
The soccer game and the fire night
The allowee call, the carnival rite

To some it turned to be, sad to say
A deadly deal that hunts the mind
Leaving earlier than the breaking day
And in the opening deep left behind
But off we left to serve mankind

Dispelled we were each one to a hole
The arts we got to face the unknown
Used we did to care for the soul
Always waiting for alert in the phone
That gives joy and change the tone

The joy we had the love we shared
But here we gather to break apart
Mouth can't tell the pains prepared,
Love we'll miss, but we have to depart
Wishing you the best in my heart
