Negative Files...

Like the stony heroes Medusa froze
Or thermoremanent magnetization
Trapped in the ancient crystalization
Of polarity post script lava flows,
Or dendrochronological rings,
Or ice core samples from the polar caps,
Or kingdoms come and gone on brittle maps,
Or trophy hunted butterfly wings
Pinned forevermore in quietus doom.

And so no more will I snap lively shots
Since two dimensions dishonors the bloom
And youthful images mere fading thoughts
For aging photographers to exhume...

Only to see oblivion's onslaughts...
