The Sapphire Sea -with adagio
The sea draws back her tide.
As the fire gold sun
descends on your amethyst eyes.
You were the ebb.
Always receding into oblivion.
I was the flow,
immersed in your parallel world.
Opposites attracting a twilight cotillion.
Silencing typhoons among opinions.
Where the horizon meets the sapphire sea
beneath a turquoise sky.
In dreams of obsidian antiquity

You have a gift for lifting an image in nature and setting a poem on top of it.
I was fucking gobsmacked over the uses of blue. The way you layered the hauntedness of the oceanic scene with different colors of blue -- it lend a hollowness, a sort of sad vellum to the scene, and I fucking LOVED it.
