Today is My Tomorrow
I go to bed thinking, tomorrow will be a better day. It might not be tomorrow’s tomorrow but some tomorrow will be a better day.
I wake up feeling today is my tomorrow. The dreaded pain has left and I am going to relish in this tomorrow.
I’ll take a deep breath and let out the biggest sigh because I conquered yesterday and today is my tomorrow.
I’ll smile a little brighter because my sight is unencumbered. The clarity of the day is mine to bask in. For today is my tomorrow.
I’ll hear things in a new way, feel jubilance with a deeper appreciation, and not let the shadow of pain inhibit my tomorrow.
I’ll sit with my loved one’s and watch the contentment in their eyes. We’ll laugh and carry on as though yesterday didn’t exist.
The little moments that I live for will flood my thoughts and I’ll tuck them in my heart stuck on replay, holding on to them for tomorrow.
I go to bed thankful that today was my tomorrow and if tomorrow isn’t my tomorrow there is still hope for some tomorrow.
