I am very new to writing poetry but I’ve always felt that it has flowed through me. I am a lover of art, the form of expression, whatever shape it may be in.

Today is My Tomorrow
I go to bed thinking, tomorrow will be a better day. It might not be tomorrow’s tomorrow but some tomorrow will be a better day.
I wake up feeling today is my tomorrow. The dreaded pain has left and I am going to relish in this tomorrow.
I’ll take a deep breath and let out the biggest sigh because I conquered yesterday and today is my tomorrow.
I’ll smile a little brighter because my sight is unencumbered. The clarity of the day is mine to bask in. For today is my tomorrow.
I’ll hear things in a new way, feel jubilance with a deeper appreciation, and not let the shadow...

Your Body is My Wonder
Your body is my wonder
You stir in me such a thunder
Your lines dance like a golden blaze of fire
Heating my soul, a lustful desire
Your pillowed lips lush, salty from whence we last impressed
In my mind thine eyes ingrained, sapphires, so clear, unencumbered
Dreams I dream of thee
Beneath the silken sheets in which we slumber
I have no plight to take delight in your sweet morsels,
Offerings from thy lion as your body gorges
Bequest upon me your luscious fountain
Fill my cup, let it overflow as I resonate in my youth
You render me...

On the Wall
Tell me what you see?
A missed placed piece of hair
Smudged lipstick upon the teeth
Wrinkles that grew from many smiles
Or tearful eyes from a jilted heart
A young girl with pigtails that her
grandmother just put in
A scampering boy with dirt on his face who just caught ten frogs
Or grandpa wiping oil off his face from fixing the car
Mother primping herself before father arrives home from work
Father wiping the stain of the forbidden kiss from his neck
Mother covering the evidence from the fight the night before ...

When all that’s left is solitude
A hallow sound of a click
Needing to regain my latitude
I reflect...I write
Overwhelmed with gratitude
A scribble of a pen
Showing my props with servitude
Humbled...I write
A lioness on the prowl with absolute fortitude
Sharp, ready to etch
With innate aptitude
Self aware...I write
Engulfed in this sea of moral turpitude
Dropping a line
Voicing with great amplitude

Engorging in the bliss of my sexuality

Days Like This
Is it true what they say
Will tomorrow be brighter
Or mundane like every other damn day,
There is no rhyme or reason
For the thoughts that
Keep me tightly bound
Echoing loudly
Drowning out all other sounds,
Yearning for some peace
Pain consumes me
Crying out for release,
No one hears
The bellows
Or sees my tears,
In silence I sit
Contemplating my world
This messy pile of shit,
Must I keep on going
Or is it time to call it quits!

I did not give my permission for my body to be Consumed under submission,
Shackled down like a prisoner only I’m not the True transgresser
Flowing through me like cancer, you relinquish No answer
Lurking around you’re my creepy stalker
Conjoining pain and twisted thoughts
The bequest of time is what you’ve got
Riddling deep like a venomous viper,
Your poison disperses as
I drift into a haze, your ploy I can’t decipher
Cold links, steel of bondage
Shroud me,
For I am plagued, held hostage
Overtaken, you linger in my gut ...

What defines me
The tumultuous thoughts that are scattered through my battered brain
The scares from pain that are tatted on my mane
A god in heaven running his domain
People heading no mercy to my strain
Words that are spoken, gestures, an emotions
Countless hours of hardship and friendly devotion
Things that shouldn’t have happened and some I wish they’d had
The fake it till I make mantra I live by
That state of being that’s rich and full of meaning or the grueling time I let slither and fly
The person that is vibrant and well...
