malt o meal salt shakers kiss the rocks;
ocean spray coagulate.
miss laid the remote
as the skies darken.
air raids can
leave the rock greasy
and conditioned.
forward completion,
final gears spring
complex equations.
grid locked pattern
counting road conditions,
incomplete intricacies
manifesto presto,
garden variety gusto
fields the sow.
infrared airways
channel no. 5 pesticide.
breaker breaker
and houston ground
the red is to taste
the grit of sound

I won’t bore you with the details but this work reminds of at least three classic rock songs. When we go past the surface what is seen isn’t always the truth but at least it is genuine.

Awesome, Cait. I love poems that I read over and over gleaning new meaning with each read. I love the rhythm of this passage, "manifesto presto,

And "breaker, breaker" transports me back to CB radio days.

Very ambiguous. Somewhat abstract. I like the play on familiar phrases, as well as the double entendre and compounded conceptualization. There is a lot here that you put into motion, to be conveyed and studied, in terms of understanding the overall theme, as it becomes what it is in entirety.
Various "psychological" matters. Towards the end, you really "spiral out of, and down into" the finality of your expression. There are elements of direction to the transition of the plot, which add a "twist." It's almost as if you're using the element of dimension in a sort of formality to "capture" various "points of view." Your metaphors are very original in depiction. Some very bleak and harsh realities to your wordplay. I think it's this type of originality, and conviction, that really fuels what a lot of poets want to be. The moral compass is "unfortunate." You have a natural knack for the craft. I'll have to come back to this one.
