i wish I could speak to you

i wish these words could fly from screens
straight into your lap so perhaps you'd see
   my mind is still stuck on you
after all these years i didnt expect much use
   after all im a walking ground for disappointment
that even my poetry shies when asked to meet them
  for my company leaves an ill taste
no amount of sweetness to give a chase
   each decision i've made
each line i've craved
     though nothing steals my sleep
more than this need
     to attempt to show you i'm here
far from the shadows that give birth to fear
  but i fear it all too late
you've moved on and found another Love
     not that its surprising in the least

you've got the looks that kill
   with a personality that'd fill
chocolate brown eyes
  strawberry pink lips
what more can these words describe
    for even then they fail to do decide
whether to describe the strength you find
   hiding behind every beautiful smile

these ramblings wont really do much good
  why would you even see what i have to make
  you dont owe me redemption
or to show you i've changed
you needed that from the start
    and all i ended up givin was a heart full of stops
 
   whether i ever see your eyes again
whether i get the chance to hold you or send
a poem filled with my Love
   to ease your pain even if only for a few
all i ever wanna do
  is spend my time with you
