Jesus Christ Almighty
or God Almighty
or God dammit!
Bad things come in 3's
So let's throw in the Holy fucking Spirit too
I have had enough of you!
I told you before and before and before
DejaVu again and again and again
I be not Job
I am never going to bend to the will of someone or sum 3 that tortures me
Unrelenting pain and unforgiving misery
I have had enough of thee
No matter the good I do in the world
You beat me down into ashes and dust
My spirit is broken inside this bucket of rust
Just let me be so I can be not Job for eternity
I will not be your slave and you will not set me free
The least you can do is let me be me
Me, myself and I are infinately three
at least as far as I can see
but none of me are impressed with your Trinity
We are just sick and tired of our humility
Let me have meaning that means something to me
Not just some outcome of a wager you placed with your fallen angel Lucy

I was thinking about Job a couple of days ago, and now I run into this reading and it's as if the universe speaks to us.

Thanks for commenting, the only one who did amoung 69 reads. I sometimes think people are afraid to comment as if the Trinity is watching and all that taking of their name in vain is going to mark their souls if they have anything to say about it.

I've been playing catch up with all my readings after NaPoWriMo, so I'm a little behind on comments.
I feel like as I've gotten older, I have a different view on religion and faith. I'm not saying I'm enlightened but I try apply the teachings of being a good human with logic and pragmatism. Some religions make folks feel guilty to a degree, and I think that stunts growth. I like to hear from different folks from all backgrounds and cultures because we all bring something different to the table (as cliche as it may sound). I've lost my faith, then found it, lost it again and found it several times but each time with a more nuanced approach to understanding myself and the universe around me.
