Fear of the Future
Terror wraps itself around me
In the darkness of my room,
Where I snuggle myself in blankets
And try to hide from the world.
Depression snuggles up beside me
With a low purr as it nuzzles my cheek.
The confident young woman checks out,
And in her place is a scared little girl.
