This is synonymous with tragedy, to me.  Like depression, or someone that's not in touch with their mind, is without purpose or truth or meaning.  It's kind of dark and bleak, as the narrative turns to express the metaphor of a tree.  To me, that's symbolic of their life and beauty and potential.  Like a goal, dream, or ambition goes unrealized.  This makes the narrative relatable as its own observation.  Vicarious disposition, for me.

The truth is overrated.  We all lose our train of thought sometimes.  Keep on writing.

Many people unfortunately live life just this way, they go through the facade of living but do not truly live. It's a trap that can be escaped from if one truly wants to escape it, sometimes with help.
