Rings.
There is a blinding shine,
and it spears into my eyes.
I see it on my ring,
that you gave me with, "goodbye."
You saw some hope in me,
said I had a glow.
It was just my reflection of you,
my imitation, I watched you go.
The machine was beeping,
then it was ceased.
All I had was your ring
as your heartbeat decreased.
I held your weary head,
pressed you to my chest.
All the world melted away,
the doctor, the nurse, all the rest.
You left me a teardrop diamond,
see the irony in that?
I loved you and you left me,
my diamond has a crack.
and it spears into my eyes.
I see it on my ring,
that you gave me with, "goodbye."
You saw some hope in me,
said I had a glow.
It was just my reflection of you,
my imitation, I watched you go.
The machine was beeping,
then it was ceased.
All I had was your ring
as your heartbeat decreased.
I held your weary head,
pressed you to my chest.
All the world melted away,
the doctor, the nurse, all the rest.
You left me a teardrop diamond,
see the irony in that?
I loved you and you left me,
my diamond has a crack.
