Soul mate

So much sadness washes over me, when I'm on my own, my heart is so empty as I write hopeful poems on my phone

Stanzas full of wishes, expressing all my hopes and dreams, imagining what it would be like, to find my real life Queen

Someone to share my life with, someone to share a kiss, the thought of waking with them would truly bring me bliss

Chatting, shopping, laughing, so many wonderful things to do, all this would be possible, if I could just find you

Can you hear my wishes, I send them out inside a prayer, they go out into the universe, they're hoping to find you there

Hoping to find my soul mate, looking searching for the other part of me, to break my chains of sadness, to finally set me free

Can anybody hear me, or is this part of lifes cruel game, I hope that someone's out there and she's going through the same

She's looking for her soul mate, God willing I'm the one, so then we could be together and our searching would be done
