Tahoe Winter Break - Flying On Saucers
Boot prints of graduated sizes
mark the trail to the perfect saucering hill
not too plain not too steep
balancing the climb back up
with the gradient of slope
whereon acceleration maximizes
Like a turtle shell
hold saucer round your back
crunch! crunch! crunch!
get a running start
plop down on the snow
bottom-down in the wok-like pan
hold on tight, avoid the trees
sit back, enjoy chill wind on your face
the adrenalin rush of speed
and plan ahead your dismount.
