we live in era of curses and generational problems
children are born in a pit they can't get out of alone
someone said my kids should have been gotten rid of from the start
that the state would be a better parent
and I believed it too because I was born with a different kind of mind

born into a poverty pit
and a generational curse of bigotry problems
for being half German Italian
I look German but don't forget my Italian side
I am in control of myself in spite of my inherited bad mental health
but in spite of the systematic beating I took and my children took

we are still here

I now know we are better of sticking together than ever asking for help
