Trainwreck

He showed up on the train
Totally unexpected
I knew in that moment
I was far from protected
I started tugging at my sleeves
Hoping he couldn't see me
I knew if he showed kindness
It would be deceiving
I tried to stare out the window
Forcing all my focus on the bridge
The stalking memories of an open bottle
And I'm trying to find the lid
To close up the unnecessary
What is known as fear
But I'm spilling the truth
Of how he was never sincere...

He spotted me
I started to sweat
He started to walk over
Making that face I could never forget
He was able to keep his balance
Even though the train was going fast
Only five seats until mine
The same amount of fears about our past...

He sits down behind me
Immediately staring
His eyes parked right on me
The intense feeling was unbarring
"You think you could run?"
He asked with a cold whisper
And all I could think of then
Was the warmth he received from kissing her...

The train stopped
That's when he said "Let's go."
I wouldn't move
Without hesitation, he started to give the people a show
By grabbing my arm
Like in the car of December
Forced me off with what he said was love
And what he did next when we did
I hardly remember...
