Pacifism Over Coffee
Sweet sassafras personified
In blonde sunshine promise
Of mornings unbound by war
Poverty or disease
A world at the peace
Reflected in her smile
And the golden energy of her eyes
That floods the empty spaces
In the deep space of my heart
Where her alchemy of dark matter
Converts the water in my eyes
Into the tears of joy
