Ex Nihilo
The infinite regression has lead me to you,
Are you the first mover? The architect?
Are you the logos? The truth?
In a world void of purpose
Are you the meaning of life?
Why can’t I see your face?
Step into the light.
I have followed the turtles all the way down,
I have reached the great untouchable,
Where Creation Ex Nihilo can be found,
I doubt worse than Thomas,
You ‘ll have have to show me your scars,
In return, I’ll lay down my guns of science,
I’ll open my arms...
And embrace you Brother with a love that could kill,
With the warmth of a nova, flooded in the thrill.
But till then I’ll be waiting for a nod or a sign
For you to give me some proof of Intelligent design,
Because I’m a disciple of Darwin
And I think that it is Nature who selects,
No need for the first mover, no more turtles, no architects.
