I think I’d have structured this poem like so:
“everyone loves vaughan williams
for the lark ascending, but it was never his;
he rather beautifully embellished it,
but it was always george meredith’s”
Just to get the rhyme. I enjoyed it, though. I treasure your presence on this site both for your gentle wit and knowledge of literature.
