Mourning

I am sensing the grief hanging behind this animated skeleton of a write.Silence for a writer can be a sterile and vile grief. The last word "secret" hangs beautifully heavy for me too- yet i haven't quite discerned why

Indeed. This is referencing an experience that is not so much about the pain of wordlessness as much as the kind of experience it takes to bring that about. I've decided I need to change the title though, because I think that fact becomes lost in the ambiguity and it reads to be about writers block. It's not about writers block, it's about an experience that is actually, in truth, bigger than poetry. An artist can get to practically anything, but as human beings, there are certain experiences that do take ones breath away, knock the wind out of one's lungs. It is extremely rare, maybe only once in a lifetime truly, but if so, that was my one time. It's not about the grief of not being able to express, it's about the experience of for one time in my life knowing what I was experiencing is not meant to be expressed but instead to remain held in a secret silence within myself for the rest of my life. Few things are that big, but they do happen to most of us at some point in life. Thank you both for your thoughts.

without a voice
we cant express our choice
to condemn or to Rejoice

we cant ask for shelter from the rain
we are unable to tell of the pain
so it will forever maintain

so as long as we have breath
we should spread the wealth
of giving the truth of ourself
