Morning Prayer
God, be the wine.
God, be the bread.
Be the warmth in
my morning coffee.
God, be the swirling
memories of last night’s
love without guilt or shame.
Be the warm that
takes my broken heart and
makes it new again.
May I see your face in the
pulsing flow of the loves you provide.
May I feel your presence in my love's embrace.
God, may you find me unashamed of
my humanity, thankful for this flesh.
God, be the bread.

Be the warm that

God, may you find me unashamed of
my humanity, thankful for this flesh.
