Derringer Dance

in a window of glass haute Danse Macabre
grooming the fingertips of monsters made
putting in notations my chuckles
being still my pulsating throb

bringing forth ashes of my mind's stigmata
of cloven hoof and lolling tongue
a warning label with the death of the Rosary
reciting the old psalms

as the jackals clutch your wilting crust
with a cadaverous visage of sepulchral breath
wasting away in dementias crux
reveling in the sabbaths of the rutting darkness

drinking blood from chalice it all tastes the same
taking snapshots, for the widower's vane
welcoming you to my pocket derringer
in a window of glass haute Danse Macabre
