Talking The Jabberwocky

As your garter snakes, dance twilight,
extracting the silence of Omar Khayyam,
"The moving finger writes,"
a fool lays in wait with their jabberwocky
walking at night in their insanity
with a bird in the hand of wishful thinking,
bringing shame to all that lie.
"You may say I'm a dreamer,
but I'm not the only one."
