How to Kidnap Eternal Life
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 Because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.
This scripture was embedded into Chapter 2 but unfortunately for the entire second chapter the original source of the knowledge of God is skipped over in favor of a repeating theme posed as a salvation equation. But where does knowledge of God come from? It was MANIFEST in THEM!
As Paul said in his letter to the Romans, those men of history chose instead to deny their own, God-given innocence, just like Adam and Eve, reacting to character defaming lies and family-shaming towards the God-head, their heavenly family.
In renouncing faith in themselves and resorting to generalized evil surmising, they gave way to all manner of evil towards themselves and their fellow man.
“As we have seen, a clear, accurate, and comprehensive knowledge of the character of God is essential to those who would be saved. Never was this more needful than at this time when darkness is covering the earth and great darkness the people.
So, let this great theme of God’s character become the chief and all-absorbing subject of our attention, our meditation, our conversation, and our witness, for this is life eternal.” - Fred Wright
The truthfulness brings the bitter irony to a sharper edge!
A broken clock is usually still Wright at least twice a day.
