I see the pain behind your eyes,
Let me in so I can help you,
Let me be apart of you,
Please don't push me away.
You say I won't understand,
Help me to so you wont bare this burden alone,
Please give me a chance to share your pain,
We both have so much to gain.
I see the pain behind the mask,
Don't run from me,
Trust me to help,
There is so much that you can be.

I could definitely feel your words. Im not sure what meaning you place behind it but for me I feel that way about my boyfriend. Hes my best friend too but he wont allow me to help him through his struggles. I know hes hurting but he wont let me in all the way.
