Reflections

In my reflection

I know the two are one but

when I look at you

in some light you're still a child

 I know I love you

truly from the depths of my heart

listen, learn, love and pray

 I'm sorry I've been hard on you

I hold you closely

 I will guard and protect you

but you still may fall

 reflections of the darkness

may try to come through the glare

always look for the light

 even in pure Darkness

don't get caught up in the stair

the choice is now mine

 let my thoughts be of goodness

 and let love follow.
