And She Said

I’ve been caught up in madness and panic, mania and instability.
I’ve been running with anger and bitterness, wrath and rage.

I have no mettle for this insanity, only unbiased denial.
I need to look to the sky for illumination and splendor.

Then an angel came down with the rain drops to dry away my tears,
to touch my mind and seal my soul.

She will steal away the delusions and distractions.
She told me I will rise above it all to rest in reverence.

I will resolve to chase away the cobwebs and cowardice.
I will hope for the glow of moonbeams to gently untangle my mind.

I will learn discernment, reason, wit and wisdom.
I will soar just a little bit higher, she assures me.

She then took me under her massive wings to comfort my long sorrows.
I’ll fully open my heart unto you.

I’ll take in your tears and your heartaches,
I’ll replace them with absolution itself.
I will light the candle and you will feed the flame.
