The Librarian

demure
a pure deity of desire
hidden in plain sight

eyes sparkling truth
laid back, licking her lips
behind a thin rimmed edge

I thumb through my novel
glancing longingly

a wanton need
to lay my soul down inside
her chapters

fingers tracing ink
reaching
front to back
no turning back

strapped in the bindings
her outline, life
craving
to sink
into a mystery of mind

an orchid of love
lusting
to be uncovered
and seen
slipping in and out
an endless night
an endless read

glasses hit the floor
breathless
drawn out in fantasy
