Phantom Runner

Lunar pool/crisp

&

cool/
a transitory grasp/
clasp
by
clasp of cold/
lungs expanding/fresh

&

fluid,
moving smooth, in

a groove/ on
the

Author's Note
[Twas crisp and cold…

Moon enmeshed in clouds…

Hadn’t planned to go running…

Was wearing pajama pants and running shoes…

Sort of challenged myself…

Took off my jacket, vest, hat, schmagh…

All that…

Then just took off…

Ran a mile…

Moved smooth…

Twas invigorating…

Following the run
I blazed one up…

Lungs opened…

Such a stark, vivd sky of tenebrous ink…

Ever so exhilarating and beautiful]
