Here comes the Sun
I need to know before I'm gone
That love don't leave those welts
Your hand in mine
Would've been just fine
Without the leather of belts
Here comes the rain
Comes falling down
Make brown turn green
Love spoiled straight to mean
Can we wash this dirty clean
Something I've ever been
Here comes the rain
Grey skies all
Words meant to cut
Words to shine
Like a hook to a line
Shining till I close my mouth
Pulling me in
Reeling me in
See the blood drip from my lip
Here we go
Blow upon blow
Nothing left to say
My conscience sways
Up on your rawhide rope
Here comes the rain
Keeps pouring down
Wash away the doubt and shame
Those clouds are your's
And now I know
You can carry this the rest of the way
Here comes the sun!
That love don't leave those welts
Your hand in mine
Would've been just fine
Without the leather of belts
Here comes the rain
Comes falling down
Make brown turn green
Love spoiled straight to mean
Can we wash this dirty clean
Something I've ever been
Here comes the rain
Grey skies all
Words meant to cut
Words to shine
Like a hook to a line
Shining till I close my mouth
Pulling me in
Reeling me in
See the blood drip from my lip
Here we go
Blow upon blow
Nothing left to say
My conscience sways
Up on your rawhide rope
Here comes the rain
Keeps pouring down
Wash away the doubt and shame
Those clouds are your's
And now I know
You can carry this the rest of the way
Here comes the sun!
