Distracted

I un-cross
your heart in an arrow
let your blood flow
and then I forget...

When I wanted to let go,
did not work,
the drawers were
now, all busy!

I liked being hysterical
and count the stripes
of the zebras that ran
wasted hope
in mute dropouts
and bites on the collar
of the shirt
with that sound
barely audible from teeth
rubbing fabric.

I need you thirsty
on the edge of the glass
I need you early
on the edge of the body
I need you sleepless
forever sleeping with you.
