Impromptu

Sweet revelations
cannot fully describe the gravity of what is
pulling me toward an indistinct future.
Starlit by inequity and adorned by selfish submission.
Within a universe smaller than my own ego
the howls of ambition beckon an awakening.

Drudging this sludge
inept and pliant, my stature
reveals more than my security allows.
Far less than my secrets can hold.
A busted vault, a smokescreen,
dead guards by the door.

Innocence reborn
like a flower in the fall
when everything else is dying.
Nature's intentions have always been clear.
Still, there are some who are just
too stubborn to quit or realise...

They've lost.

Author's Note
Posted first here, Will most likely post this on my blog later.
Just a very tricky situation.
When everything feels right but it can't go on, yet you're unable to give it up because it's the best feeling in the world. The highs and lows are too wild to keep steady.
