Ye of Little Faith

A slave to sin
I was only seeking the truth
Seems you're a villian
No matter the proof

We spin these tales
And hope for the best
Redemption fails
Just like the rest

Through sweat, blood and tears
I've survived the years
All of your prayers
Fell on deaf ears

Choking on the words
I don't even believe in
You were alive before
Now just a box, again

Pardon me, I just can't stay
A lie to live, a life of death
Prayers to the air to see them someday
A slave, again

Through shadows I've crawled
Blind and searching for a hand
A scar for every time you stalled
I never expect you to understand

Watching, distant and complacent
Father's had a hard day
The beatings will commence
When there's nothing left to say

A slave to sin
I was only seeking the truth
Seems you're a villian
No matter the proof

Through sweat, blood and tears
I've survived the years
All of your prayers
Fell on deaf ears

Pardon me
I just can't stay
