Trap Queen

A little girl young and fragile. Weak to the bones, Light as a feather.
Taken away from her family at 4.
Filled to the core with hurt and anger she grew,
Standing by her she has a crowd of “fans”,
The flow of daily compliments come flowing in message after message,
The little girl who was never noticed, who was so innocent,
The flow of history has corrupted her,
The daughter of crip born into the danger of the hood,
The ghetto is woven into her DNA
Overcoming the danger, moving into a better neighborhood,
Leaving her childhood behind growing up quickly to protect her siblings and being stepped on and violated.
The journey is a long one.
Confidence is pouring from her, all eyes on her.
Her DMs be flowing with messages that’s why your man be in hers and not yours.
  She’s not what you think
Feel the energy that surrounds her,
You think you know her with just one look at her but you don’t
So quit with the dirty looks, quit with the nasty comments. It’s not her fault you got issues.
It’s not her fault you screwed up.
Seeing the difficult life with the little bit of drugs flowing in here and there, the disappearance of people from her life.
She’s a tough one, she’s fights for what she wants.
Livin the life with the responsibilities, havin fun on the side.
Standing tall and alone she’s growing into a beautiful woman.
She’s not defined as the daughter of a Crip,
She’s not defined as a girl from the ghetto,
She’s defined as smart and beautiful,
Confident and glowing,
The exact opposite of her birth mom but yet so similar.
See the growth,
See how she doesn’t let her past define her,
See how she doesn’t let others drag her down,
See how she’s her own person.
She used to be a Trap Queen
And she still got it.
Finishing up high school as another step towards college,
She won’t be another dropout like her birth parent
She won’t be another person on the streets
