Feared it to death
Every day he lived in fear
Feared for his job in this ever changing economy
Feared for the possible disasters
His house, his precious belongings
Gone in the blink of an eye
In the eye of the storm
Feared that one day the love of his life
Would no longer be by his side
Feared ill-health and all sorts of sickness
Feared every single day of his life
Feared to the very day he died
Quietly in his sleep
(Or was his sleep filled with
Fears of the Way Beyond?)
A pitiful man aged ninety-three.
Feared for his job in this ever changing economy
Feared for the possible disasters
His house, his precious belongings
Gone in the blink of an eye
In the eye of the storm
Feared that one day the love of his life
Would no longer be by his side
Feared ill-health and all sorts of sickness
Feared every single day of his life
Feared to the very day he died
Quietly in his sleep
(Or was his sleep filled with
Fears of the Way Beyond?)
A pitiful man aged ninety-three.
