The Union of Frost and Decay
Pain loathes the sound of your voice
Echoing through halls vast but cumbersome
Spreading warmth through an unforgiving landscape
Spread thin with only a glimmer of hope
I drown in the reverberations
Of two lives intricately bound
By tethers nearly severed
Uprooted from the ground
We spoke of time unbroken
Shackled by the circumstance of past
Numb to the strings of fate
Here I stand at the precipice
Grasping at nearly imperceptible salvation
With this ineffable desire to be heard
Near defeat and waning fast
With strength left only to survive
In this union of frost and decay
Echoing through halls vast but cumbersome
Spreading warmth through an unforgiving landscape
Spread thin with only a glimmer of hope
I drown in the reverberations
Of two lives intricately bound
By tethers nearly severed
Uprooted from the ground
We spoke of time unbroken
Shackled by the circumstance of past
Numb to the strings of fate
Here I stand at the precipice
Grasping at nearly imperceptible salvation
With this ineffable desire to be heard
Near defeat and waning fast
With strength left only to survive
In this union of frost and decay
