Grief
A lot of us have lost a loved one to being killed or by suicide. It's been so many nights you have sat and cried. Wishing you could turn back the hands of time. To meet again so suddenly in such a distant clime. It's so hard to move on without them in your life. You pray that God can remove all misery and strife. Life isn't supposed to be filled with suffering and sadness. But you can't loosen the chains and escape the madness. The grief is eating away at your soul like cancer. Your mind is full of questions but doesn't know the answer. It's not your fault, please don't blame yourself. You can't even smile because your happiness is lost on a shelf. The pain you feel from a loss can be overwhelming. Most of the time when you're alone you can't stop crying. But you can handle it, even when you feel like you can’t. You need to nourish your soul, your mind is like a plant. Recognize the need to grieve and let it run its natural course. It'll get you out of that quicksand of desire and remorse. Writing a letter can be cathartic and aid with coping. So you can release your emotions rather than eroding. Positive memories will help you focus on the good times. That dark cloud will soon be a cloud that shines. Don't shut down, resist and find a confidant to share with. If you don't feel like opening up God can be your locksmith.
