In the darkness

When darkness comes Im at home
For that is all Ive known.
When daylight shines Im all alone
In the darkness I am myself
I know I wont be judged.
In the daylight I am who you want me to be
I hope you will be pleased.
You want to know what its like to be me
Ask your self if you have truly let the past go?
Can you stand to be around yourself?
Do you long to be loved?
Do you pray For nightfall so you can be yourself?
Im in deep thought about who Ill will be when daylight comes
I live in fear each day worry fills my every pore
Worries that I may hurt someone close to me like you.
My anger is my protection from myself
I long to be loved
I pray for the day I can be myself in the daylight hours.
