Lighthouse
What to do, when my sunshine
is lost to a deep foggy darkness?
When the person I have loved most dearly
departs, to the dark I gaze forlornly.
My calls to you met with curt hardness,
echo across this fault line.
Steadfast facing the sea's brine,
watching as my heart's dreams evanesce....
NO, my soul screams, I will stand here firmly
and shine as bright as ever to screech sternly:
I'll stay on shore in fierce fluoresce,
wait for stars to realign.
The lighthouse I am will shine
in hopes of guiding those in distress
back to me on land, they'll see me clearly
and may they never to that cowardly
despondency ever acquiesce.
I'll await my Eglantine.
