Vulnerable
Hardest thing to do in life is trust
To allow yourself to be vulnerable
Afraid to be left in the dust
So you stay completely hidden
Thinking you aren't worth it
Your mind is full of sadness
Tired of the bullshit
So you ignore the world
Swimming against the current
Unsure how to accept
Fighting against the serpent
The pain you have inside
Trying to find a path
To begin your inner therapy
Racing around the track
Through the finish line
To allow yourself to be vulnerable
Afraid to be left in the dust

The only way to beat it is to just jump in the middle of something. Stop worrying about how you will be seen or accepted. You rule the aura around you. Shine your light, be seen.
One of my veteran friends lost both legs. I call him "low crawl" now. Because military/biker love is tough love. Lol. He rides a modified motorcycle. !!!
Because he don't give no fucks about stigmas and limitations.
(Low crawl is a military term, btw).
He is out there in the world, living life.

Vulnerability is hard, but so worth it. It's how you figure out which parts of you are really you, and which ones you can let go of. As Styx said - go ahead and shine. We're listening, and we like what we hear.
