Parallels

moonlight on waves
froths twinkle
mirror of wan light
of Hecate's spells
and I,  hoping for her
power to give life

yet fear grips heart
of unruly powers
summoned of emotions
writhing snakes
akin to Medea's head
within the pit of my stomach

holding invisible hands
I walk on endless beach
perpetual twilight
wan moon still shines
lights pale orange
on an indifferent highway of sand.
