Whisper sweet nothings in my ears,
Tell me it’s all in my head,
So that I don’t waste my time wiping my tears,
Or tossing and turning in my bed.

Hold me tight in your arms,
Let me hear your heart race.
Lie to me to keep me calm,
Just don’t say it to my face.

Kiss me till my mind is empty,
Or at least until I can’t get the questions out.
Let your lips take away from me,
Every suspicion and every ounce of doubt..

Blind me with your actions,
Because your words are starting to get old.
Let your body language cause a distraction,
So that I don’t think about the stories you’ve told..

And when I start to trust my better judgement,
And things start to make sense again.
Please remind me to forget,
And to turn on my heart and turn of my brain.

Tell me what I want to hear,
Use your body to cloud my mind,
Your little white lies have become music to my ears,
I guess they help to pass the time..

Losing you is my second biggest fear,
Right after the day this facade will end..
And honestly the only thing keeping me from drowning in tears,
Is the fact that we can still play this game of pretend..
