Mother in Hades
Woman in black
With 13-year-old daughter
in madhouse merry go round
Ex husband and father of her children
erased their daughters from his book of life
Now at age of wonder
all child cries are tears of blood
Her kid needs to tell him to fuck off
But he is as remote as Novaya Zemlya
Mother wraps her in a maternal blanket
but the girl’s moods turn dark as burgundy
with love stolen
like insulin-denied diabetic
by a man of glacial ice
whose conscience never took root
in his arctic heart
The daughter's twenty candles extinguished
In a fiery automobile crash
Mother's obsidian eyes sparkle
like candles on the eve of Easter
in a church of the divine darkness
Her gaze a Gothic mass
to succor her beloved daughter
Whose spirit has flown

Title speaks volumes before you start reading.
The voice you told this in was different and unique.
Lots of metaphors with great visuals that helped build the scene.

Thank you so much for sharing your perspectives on this. This is the true story of my hairstylist and her daughter who died from a drunk driver recently. I appreciate your understanding and empathy my friend. Indeed I have never seen her as distraught. Her daughter was troubled going back years. But this was just devastating for the mother from what she told me a day ago.
