The World Has Won
I'm running in circles,
Trying to get away,
From myself and my,
Self-inflicting pain.
Nothing I do helps,
Or makes it stop,
This pain is making,
My broken heart throb.
I'm running in circles,
Because no one will,
Give me the courage,
To finally stand still.
It hurts that I'm all alone,
In a world full of hate,
And I'm about to give up,
At any rate.
I'm running in circles,
Because I'm a soulless life,
I grab my mom's gun,
And it's time to say goodnight.
With a loud bang,
I no longer run,
Finally the world got
what it wanted,
The world has won.

I like the continual use of the word circles, it gives the imagary of movement, struggle, fighting, action in ones live to only come back to the same place. nice piece
