Fallen anew
Another season to recognize the truth
A mess of amber and orange leaves on a descent to kiss the ground
Reuniting with my roots
Gentle instability
Life's breeze providing a push
The ease with which I release my hold
Reassures me these changes are happening just as they should
Exposed now, with branches bare
Dreading my appearance of emptiness
Lacking flare
** A little note-to-self:
I will never be who I am destined to be, without first embracing who I am here

I remember the distinct moment in my brainstorming of this poem when I walked under the above-pictured tree. A light breeze had just swept by causing the leaves to fall on myself and to the ground. It was a sweet, little moment I got to share with nature.
