Ozzy Osbourne, Voice of Reason
Ozzy wants to go home
says the gun violence in America
is *ucking crazy
he wonders how many more school children
are going to be killed
how many more concert goers open fired on
like in Las Vegas
he's "fed up"
with people getting killed every day
Ozzy Osbourne has more sense
than half of America
"There's nothing united anymore
about the United States"
wisely states the former Sabbath frontman
with an unusually wild past
"America has changed so drastically"
Eccentric old Ozzy
sees the truth
Osbourne used to be happy in the United States
but then he once said
that just being at home
which had everything he could want in it
including his beloved Corn Flakes
was all he needed
that made sense too
at least for him
but now
certainly he knows
Corn Flakes or no Corn Flakes
even one's home isn't safe
in the land of
'Guns don't kill people'
Ozzy's going back to England
to his 350 acre estate
i still love my country
at least I'm trying to
but i know his decision is sensible
i hope his remaining years are happy
serene
peaceful
better chance of that in England
than in the unUnited States

Re. Ozzy Osbourne, Voice of Reason
I often find the voice of reason in musicians. They see things and experience things most don't so maybe that's gives them a bit of sense.
If I had the money and could leave I would get the hell out of here. I do love my country and those that have faught for it but anymore it has been hijacked by gun crazed idiots. It makes me ashamed to even know and have friends that don't see the problems. Complete madness, a damn clown show, and shame on those that let it happen.
Thank you for having the guts to speak out. It isn't an easy thing to do these days.

I like your point about musicians.
I mirror all of your sentiments. Even if people like us had the money, where would we go? I know an expat happily living in Mexico. I guess that's a maybe. New Zealand would be awesome, but I don't think they are looking to welcome tens of thousands of Americans. I had a Swedish boyfriend and spent three months there, but that beautiful country is falling apart now too.
I much appreciate your comments.

I have two places; Canada because it's the closest and it seems like a cool place. Also Tokyo because I just thinks it would be amazing to live there.
Maybe the world is falling apart really. I heard a joke recently that said "who knew with all the information in the world that it would make us dumber".

Great quote.
Yes, Canada. I used to live six miles from the border of British Columbia. White Rock, just over the border of Washington state, is a lovely seaside town. Now that I think about it, that's where I'd love to live.

Thanks Ron. You have good taste in music, so I had a feeling you'd like this one.

Agreed. I'm beginning to wonder if Americans are going to start forming intentional communities based on politcal preferences, including gun control.

I'm not sure anything will work. I lived in New Zeand once, also, when I was a little kid. It worries me to hear you say it's also going down the toilet but then again, generally, the World is heading that way. COVID-19 was definitely a defining moment. I think there are just too many people in the world, polluting it. Having said that, I'm still not willing to give up my place just yet, lol. 🤣

It's Sweden I was referring to (going down the toilet) not New Zealand. But who knows...

The old bumper sticker slogan "Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out" has now become mainstream conservative policy.
It's easy to rationalize murder when you believe in an afterlife, and that's why I prefer an honest schizophrenic who does not mask their psychoses with a religion.

Thanks Relic. It's gotten so bad that police have had to come to my school several times.-students threatening to kill teachers over bad grades or behavior enforcement. They also threaten to kill each other

Thank you. I realize expressing strong opinions is risky. I don't mean to offend or antagonize, so thanks for being cool about it.
I'm interested in your perspective should you wish to share it.

Thanks for sharing. I will think about all you said. One thing we definitely agree on: getting to the root causes.
