DARK INKANTATIONS [HEMISPHERE FORTY SIX]
HEMISPHERE FORTY SIX: DGB
““When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
(A CONCRETE CUBICLE IN A DRAIN PIPE)
DGB lays back, staring at the stars.
The stars as interpreted by a mini projector, cast against the concrete ceiling.
His thoughts shift in the timbre of machine gears, one eye a cold calculation, one eye a mechanistic spiral of DIY.
“Ideas place one in a constant state of rebirth.” He thinks.
Cassiopeia shrouds him in shadows and silence.
Drifting…
Waves…
Dark ocean tides…
The eye of cold calculation closes.
DGB’s spiral eye goes still, like frozen electricity, slowly closing.
Stars giving way to stars.
